Creative Discovery Museum

We had a busy week! We began and ended the week in Chattanooga (with Knoxville in between). I made plans a few weeks back to spend Saturday with one of my college besties and her family at the Children's Museum in Chattanooga. It was our first time visiting the museum and it was AH-MAZING. If you haven't been, you need to go. Seriously.
Mason, Reagan, and Cam had a blast- they played hard and after 3 1/2 hours- they were done. Both of our kids crashed on the way home. Mason loved the water area, the play structure, the great wall of China and oh course the cars! Reagan loved the cars as well (go figure) and the play house. Cameron and Reagan played kitchen for a good bit of the afternoon. Two sweet peas in a pod.

Can you SEE the excitement in her eyes as she drives the car. (oh 16 is going to be scary!)

Mason loved putting the car on the track and racing it.

Oh course, sister always has to check out what bro is into.

Reagan was very excited to play music.
Steve spent a good part of the morning in here with her!

Mason and Cam in the bee hive.
Reagan was pretty done at this point so this was our group pic of the day.

Abby asked me during the day did I miss Seattle. Even a year and a half later, it's still a loaded question and one that creates a pit in my stomach. Yes I miss it, I think I always will, but I can't imagine not being here. I can't imagine not being able to hop in the car not once but TWICE in one week and drive to the city that holds so many memories and friendships for me. Getting to spend time with the people who helped shape me and being able to share those people with my children. It's priceless to me.

Aquarium

On Monday since Mason was out of school we decided to head to Chattanooga to hit the aquarium. The kids had a blast, although Reagan was a little nervous with the crowds. She loved looking at all the fish, turtles, birds. She is growing up so fast- we have been to aquariums before but this time she really got into it. Although this picture is blurry, I wanted to include it because they both loved looking at the penguins. Mason kept watching over and under the water to make sure he didn't miss anything.

We all enjoyed hanging out with the butterflies. (I know their faces don't show excitement, but they were watching where the butterflies were going)

Mason insisted on taking a picture with the penguin. He can be pretty persistent these days. (ha)
We ran into two of my college friends and their boys, Landon and Houston. So we explored the River building with them. Mason and Landon are exactly 1 week apart and they had a great time having us chase after them.
They also enjoyed playing hide and seek behind this giant turtle shell. :)
Around this time last year, I took the kids to the Aquarium in the Smokies, it was one of the first times I took them on a road trip by myself, and I can remember thinking, "Am I crazy." I think of how much the three of us have grown this past year. I think nothing of it now, hopping in the car, and heading out of an adventure. And I couldn't ask for two better partners in crime.

thankful thursday

I am so thankful, I am their mom. I am so thankful that I get a front seat to all their crazy shenanigans. I am so thankful that I get to spend everyday with them. But most importantly I am so thankful that I get to experience their love everyday.
