4 months already?!?!?

Reagan,

Really? Really? You are 4 months already? I can't believe how fast you are growing. You are now THRIVING on Similac sensitive, you no longer have issues with gas or poo. It makes me happy :)

You are such a happy, silly little girl. Everything makes you smile. You can not get enough of your brother and you are itching to play with him. You love to hold your toys in your hands and stick them in your mouth.

You are sleeping really well at night- you only wake once a night between 1-3, eat and go right back to sleep. You take a short morning nap (about 45 minutes) and you enjoy a LONG afternoon nap in the arms of your mama.

You have great head control and have started spending time in your bumpo and excersaucer. We go on the 7th for your 4 month appointment and I can't wait to see how much you weigh!

Here are some of my favorite moments from the month!
You sitting in your bumpo

Lounging by the "pool" when it was too hot to be inside.

Wearing your shades while out for a walk.

Two of my three favorite people.

Love- mommy

Big Boy Bed

I haven't wanted to say much, but since we have passed the one week mark without incident, I am ready to share......Mase is OFFICIALLY in a big.boy.bed! I am so excited.
We made the switch last Sunday and although he was really excited to be able to get in and out on his own, that first nap was a little rough. I didn't know if we were ready, but when he woke up, we talked about how big brothers sleep in big boy beds and apparently that was all he needed to hear. He has walked around the house saying "big boy bed, big boy bed" all.week.long. I have to remember to get Steve to video it, because it is absolutely the sweetest thing ever.
Mason has always been an amazing sleeper- he asks to go take a nap (not every day but it does happen often), he goes down every night between 7:30-8 pm and doesn't get up until about 7am. He rarely wakes in the middle of the night and when he does, I think it's a bad dream so I hold him for one song and lay him back down and he goes back down. And switching to the bed hasn't changed this. It is fabulous.

Although he isn't in focus in this picture- I love that it looks like he is dancing!

So our next challenges are potty training and loosing the bink. We will take our time on these.
Until then, I'll just be happy with our new bed!

The kid with the bucket on his head

Mason loves to play this game, where he takes a bucket, puts it on his head and says "mommy, mommy"

I will turn toward him, see the bucket on his head and say, "oh no, where is mason? Where did he go?" He then laughs, takes the bucket off his head and continues to put it back on and play the game again, and again and again. This typically goes on for I don't know, 30 minutes or so.

Well, yesterday I was cooking dinner, and we began our game. I continued sauteing my onions and kept up my end "where's mason? Mason, where are you?" Then he came over to my leg, started tapping and saying "Rae? Rae? Rae?" (his name for Reagan) I kept cooking and said, she's in her pappison chair. Suddenly, something told me to turn around and to my surprise this is what I saw.

Our poor daughter with a bucket over her head. Surprisingly she didn't seem to mind, so I grabbed the camera to capture this moment. He was SO proud of himself, and I have to say including his sister into a mommy-mason game touched my heart. He wants her to be apart of our fun, our laughs, our lives. Let's just keep the bucket off her head for awhile, Mase!

Waiting on a mama

My poor kids have had a long week with me. I have been trying to schedule some appointments so they have spent a lot of time home with me either waiting for someone to come to the house or waiting for the phone to ring and someone to get back to me. They have been troopers through it all and I rewarded them each day with an outing to either a park or a fun afternoon in the backyard with full access to the water table and hose.

I couldn't help but to capture the two of them waiting on me. I love that they are both snuggled under their own respective blanket. I can tell they are going to be best buds!

Apparently I was in his way.

Party Weekend

This weekend has been crazy! Since all of our playgroup friends are from our parent baby class at Evergreen they were all born within 3 months of each other. We have officially entered birthday season. We had a birthday party on Saturday AND one on Sunday. Mason had a blast.
Saturday we went to Jump Planet. We have been to jump houses before and Mason has never really been a fan....until today! He loved it. He went wild- I think it helped that Steve was there to get in there and jump with him. Here he is going down the slide....

and climbing up it!

Sunday's party was a train theme birthday WITH a train ride. All the kiddos got train hats. Mason loved wearing his hat and riding on the train with dad. Here they are getting ready to go!

Mason enjoying his cupcake.

And of course, Reagan slept through both parties. Notice Reagans baby doll- she loves it and falls asleep with it all the time. I love that she is still holding it!

Can't wait to celebrate more of our friends turning 2!
